Venomous New Melodic Death Metal 

São Paulo’s Venomous returns with their latest EP, Tribus, marking a bold step in the Brazilian melodic death metal scene. Following full-length albums Defiant (2018) and The Black Embrace (2019), Tribus showcases the band’s growth with progressive songwriting, polished production, and standout performances.

Created entirely during 2020–2021 isolation, Tribus reflects a unique creative process, emphasizing themes of unity and longing. The EP’s closing single, Unity, highlights Venomous’ versatility, blending melodic death metal with progressive influences from bands like Caligula’s Horse and Leprous. Soft passages merge with powerful riffs, culminating in a serene piano coda by Felipe Abbamonte.

Though concise, Tribus leaves a lasting impression, demonstrating Venomous’ evolving sound and positioning them as a must-follow act in modern melodic death metal.
