The Rise of Cult of Orpist

Emerging from the depths of Greece’s underground metal scene, Cult of Orpist has forged a brutal identity that embodies the raw aggression of 90s death/thrash metal. Founded in early 2021 by Chris Panagitsas (rhythm guitar) and Hector Sohos (vocals/bass), the band was built with one goal: to channel the ferocity of legends like Slayer, Entombed, Sodom, Kreator, and Toxic Holocaust.

With the addition of powerhouse drummer Sotiris Dimitropoulos, Cult of Orpist sharpened their sound through relentless practice sessions. The lineup reached its full destructive potential when George “Dimator” Dimitrakakis joined as lead guitarist, leading to the creation of their self-titled EP and setting the stage for their debut full-length release.
